Legionella

Under current guidance HSG274: 2014 (formerly L8 ACoP) and HPSC 2009 (Ireland) owners / operators of cooling towers have a legal obligation to operate them in a safe manner. The guidance states that weekly, monthly and quarterly checks be completed and recorded by competent and trained personnel. Legionella samples should be taken on a quarterly basis.
